We are privileged to order delicious and authentic Indigenous cuisine through the Songhees cafe, food truck and catering services on a regular basis. They offer high-quality food options like sockeye salmon burgers on traditional bannock buns, Coast Salish bison tacos and fresh house smoked salmon salads (with ingredients from the rooftop garden). The entire culinary team consists of hardworking and dedicated individuals who are always kind, friendly and helpful.
Songhees Event Centre believes in creating a connection between the natural food from our land, the farmers that nourish and harvest it, and ultimately, the people who enjoy it.
This is based on the traditions of Lekwungen People and their connection to the land.
Chef David Roger began his culinary career more than 30 years ago in Vancouver, B.C and returned to Victoria in 2004 to open the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel. He apprenticed at the renowned five-star Pan Pacific Hotel’s award-winning Five Sails Dining Room, working with European Chefs dedicated to perfection in all aspects of dining.
